William Southard 61, of New Bedford and formerly of Holliston died suddenly on Tuesday March 18, 2003 at his home.

Son of the late Vincent and Gilda (Romano) Southard and husband to the late Lucy (Castillo) Southard who died in September 1998.

A Vietnam Veteran he served in the Marines, Air Force, and Army and had been stationed in Laos. He also owned and operated his own trucking business.

William is survived by 2 Sons; Steven Southard of Brooklyn, NY and Ronald Southard of Northbridge, MA. and 1 Sister; Kathylene Southard of Boston.

Visitation will be held on Saturday March 22, 2003 from 10 to 11 AM at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St. (Rt. 16), Holliston, MA with a Funeral Home Service following at 11:00 AM with Father Mahoney.
