Lois, Mary and Sarah We have truly lost one of the best of the best and the oldest of the \"7 brothers\" I will never forget that night back in Woburn when you talked me into babysitting for Mary who was but a few weeks old as you and Willy went out to dinner...I just kept saying to Mary, \"please don\'t wake up, please don\'t wake up\"

Lois.......we hold so many warm memories of the good old Woburn High Days not only of Bill but also you and the girls. May you just know how sad we feel for you and please know you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time of loss. May God bless you always. Much love, Bob and Marlene Doran

Dear Lois, Mary and Sara--please accept my deepest sympathy on your loss. I loved this wonderful man; he was my mentor, my rock, my anchor when I started at the Holliston Middle School in 1973. His positive attitude and dry humor carried the day in so many situations. Even when he had criticism to deliver, it was delivered in a positive way. Both Holliston and Hopkinton benefitted enormously from his service. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your husband Bill. He was a great guy and even before I knew he was related to me I considered him to be the best teacher I ever had as he obviously proved in his later career. He was a man I greatly admired and my thoughts are with you and your family, Lois, in this difficult time.

The world has lost a true gentleman. As a Selectman in the 80's, I worked with Bill as he worked diligently to improve the Hopkinton schools. A man of tremendous integrity with a deep passion for education, life and the children he served. I will never forget his infectious smile and his ability to "works things out". A true statesman. May he rest in peace knowing that he left this world better than he found it. My deepest sympathies to you all.

I was the first handicapped student to be mainstreamed in Holliston. With that said my best and fondest memory of Dr. Hosmer was each time he picked up a crutch and held it upside down like a golf club and made a practice golf shot! I still smile at the thought.

My deepest sympathies on the loss of a true gentleman! He was a former patient in the office where I work and he was the kindest, most thoughtful and caring person! I'm glad I had the opportunity to meet him. The world needs more people like Mr. Hosmer. Laura @ MIM
