Dear Mrs. Gardner and Billy, I am so very sorry to hear of Mr. Gardner's passing. He was always such a friendly, warm and kind-hearted man who made you feel like a million dollars with his smile. These pictures show me he had a wonderful family life and may you hold fast the memories. Warmly, Christine Caswell McCarron

So sorry Barbara to learn of Bill's passing. He was such a great guy, always with a joke. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Growing up in Holliston, there was never a bad word ever given for Mr. Gardner. He and Barbara were wonderful people that were like second parents to me. They were always at St. Michael's and we did lots of stuff with them as families. I wish I had found out sooner about this and could have given my condolences in person, but Barbara and family, please accept my deepest regrets that I was not there with you at this time. RIP Mr. Gardner, you will always have a special place in my heart. June McGrath Jones

Dear Barbara, Carrie, Beth and Billy ~ We are sorry we are unable to be with you, having just heard of your loss this week and are living in Newfoundland, Canada. Our deepest sympathy to all of you in this difficult time. We have many fond memories of Bill. I will never forget Bill’s love for my parents and all of our Smith family on Jennings Road. Every time I’d see him he’d ask about how my Dad or Mom were doing, and I will miss the memory of his many trips to our house to see them. After babysitting for Billy, Beth and Carrie, he would always walk me home, even though it’s such a quiet street, he wanted to make sure I was safe, and that made me feel special. Your family shared such a love for animals, like myself, and Festus was Bill’s pride and joy, as well as Broodus (or was it Ceaser). I loved coming to see all the kittens, and was glad to see Bill home so I could get a peek. I will always remember his warm welcome to try out his hammock in the backyard, and every time I’d see him in more recent years, he was never too busy to stop and talk to Paul or myself. Bill will be deeply missed by all of our family. Our sincere prayers are with you as you go through this very difficult time, and pray that the Lord will strengthen you in these days. All our love, Paul and Carol Babineau

Barb, my sincere sympathies to you Billy, Carrie and Beth in the loss of Bill....you are all in my thoughts and know you all have wonderful nemories to cherish.
