Holliston-

Virginia Scott Brown, 95, of Holliston, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Manor in Framingham. Born in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Ruby (Waldron) and Harold Scott Dodson. She was the wife of 63 years, to James Harvey Brown of Holliston.

Virginia was a gentle, quiet person of deep and sincere faith and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Holliston.  She took great pleasure in painting, and was an excellent seamstress.  She enjoyed time spent at the Holliston Senior Center.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Susan Ramsley and her husband, Kenneth of Ashland and David Brown and his wife, Michele of Champagne, IL. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Christopher Ramsley, Daniel, Michael and Caroline Brown. She is predeceased by her granddaughter, Jennifer Ramsley who passed away in 1999 and her brother, Robert Dodson.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 7th at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Holliston, 40 High St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Christian ministry of your choosing. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com
