Share your Memorial with Family & Friends

Our hearts go out to Dinny's husband and family, too! I wanted to share just one of the many happy memories we have of Dinny. I brought my eldest child when she was 2 for story and craft with Miss Dinny up to the Children's Room in the attic of the library, and I carried my youngest up in the infant car seat! Story hour and a craft with Dinny was not to be missed. That’s how we got to be friends. That was almost 20 years ago, and although we moved out of state shortly after, Dinny and I stayed in touch. We exchanged a lot of kids crafts. Dinny would be doing something with “the grands” that she thought my girls would like and vice versa. My girls enjoyed every one, and we kept of them, Dinny’s prototypes and the girls’ recreations, in with our Christmas ornaments. We hang them on the tree each year – Santa’s made out of pinecones with long stocking caps, owls with jewel eyes made from fabric scraps pasted on toilet paper rolls, sheep made from yarn pompoms – fun, cute, and creative! Dinny will always be greatly missed, but she will always be remembered with great fondness!

My heart goes out to Armand, Chris, Matt and extended family. Being friends with her 2 boys I have had the pleasure on many occasions to spend time with "Mrs. Potenza", Virginia. I always left our conversations feeling the love and caring her and her husband would show to us "kids" along with some great points of wisdom. And never without a smile and good laugh to go with it. She will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to the family and everyone that had the pleasure of knowing this kind and caring woman.
