Regina E. Bacon, 89, of Holliston died at her home on Friday, June 25, 2004. She was the daughter of the late Martin and Julia Aleksiejczyk and the wife of 52 years of marriage to her late husband George Donald Bacon

Born in Steubenville, Ohio Regina attended nursing school at Mt. Carmel Hospital in Columbus Ohio. She then entered the U.S. Army as a nurse from 1940 to 1945 during WW II and served in North Africa. She continued as a nurse after her service to the Army. She had moved to Holliston in 1947 and had also worked at the Holliston Public Library and was involved with the local Public Nursing Committee as well as Cub scouts and girl scouts.

She is survived by Martha J. Siporin of Holliston, George D. Bacon JR. of Ayer, Regina I. Bacon of Washington DC, and Mary Ann Lee of Gainesville, FL. Grandchildren- Leah Siporin of Holliston and Ruth Siporin of Waltham.

Visitation will take place at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St., Holliston on Tuesday June 29, 2004 from 10:00 to 11:00 am followed by a Funeral Home Service at 11:00 am with Rev. Batten. Burial will follow in Hopedale Village Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Metrowest Hospice, 85 Lincoln St., Framingham, MA 01701
