Captain Paul Willard Simpson, originally of Holliston, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at his home in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Wednesday, February 15th 2023 at the age of 83. He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Paul and Eric, his cousin, Marjorie, his partner, Anabel and extended family Ana Isabel, Ana Margarita, Nico, Santos and Antonio.

A 1960 graduate of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Paul was an avid member of the Puerto Rico Maritime community since first visiting in 1959. He later provided sailing tours of San Juan harbor before permanently moving to the island in 1968, where he worked in the shipping industry until his retirement in 2018. A lifelong lover of the sea and all things nautical, he was happiest in and around the harbors of the islands of the Caribbean.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 10th at 12pm  at Lake Grove Cemetery, Highland St. in Holliston. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.
