Dear Mrs. Rowles and family: I am truly saddened to hear about the passingof "Coach." He touched and influenced so many people over his life, one being me. He instilled a confidence in others when they did not know it existed. I will be forever thankful that I was fortunate enough to learn from him in the classroom and to take his guidance on the playing field. We all will miss the "Big Guy," teacher, Coach and Confident. My love to you all during these very difficult times. Please know that you are all in our thought and prayers.

Dear Mrs. Rowles & family- Please accept my deepest condolences. I was lucky to have Coach Rowles as a teacher for a couple of classes, and enjoyed getting to know him. May all of your memories of him give you some comfort at this difficult time.

I had the privilage of playing with Paul on the B.U. football team 1956-60. He was one of 6 proud Rhode Islanders on the football team. We named him big "fella" for obvious reasons as he towered well above us. A truly great friend and teammate we will always remember his easy going demeanor, never getting ruffled. It took a lot to get him angry. My prayers are with him and Deidre and his wonderful family.

Dear Deidre and family, I was shocked and deeply saddened to learn of my dear friend Paul's passing. Paul was a true and wonderful friend and we shared oh so many wonderful and, shall I say, "interesting" times together. We were always joking with each other, harassing each other and basically picking on each other like "little" and "big" brothers do. We had oh so many wonderful times laughing with and at each other. I will never ever forget the booming sound of Paul's deep "belly laugh" as he scored another point against me, in our on going battles to slap each other down. As I am sure you are experiencing, I too am feeling a sudden and enormous void in my life. When I lost my Ingrid many years ago a friend who had suffered a deviating loss, told me something that had helped him deal with his grief, it did help me, may it do the same for you and your family: "When someone you love becomes a memory the memory becomes a treasure." Deidre may you, your family and "Big Fella" find peace. With greatest respect and love, Peter
