Share your Memorial with Family & Friends

Louis was an original in all aspects. For some reason, when we first met in Law School, there was that immediate bond that develops between best friends. He saw me through many ups and downs and always was encouraging. I could listen to the stories and experiences of his life for hours at the time. He loved his family, all of them. He was proud of his three children and valued their accomplishments. Cheri, Louis, Jr., and Paige held a special place in his heart. He was the ultimate host and you always left his presence feeling better about yourself and life in general. He loved the Lord and his Church. I never sat at a meal with him where a blessing was not given. He was a Renaissance man and he was ready to take on any challenge and new experience. He loved the Gamecocks in all of their sports. So many times, I would pick up the phone just to seek his advice or an invitation to get away and spend time in a safe and loving environment with Louis. He had the ability to raise your spirits and make you see how blessed you are. And his affinity for his Boston Terriers is unmatched. There were many, but I especially remember Max and Carolina Girl. As a Groomsman at my wedding in 1992, just him being there made it even more special. His smile and his facial expressions could speak volumes. I would love to write the true story of Louis Cook and his life's journey. It would inspire and entertain. He may be gone physically, but I know he is in the presence of the Lord and Savior he sought to serve in all areas of his life. His was a life well lived and his legacy will continue to impact lives for many years to come.
