Holliston – Joseph P. Kundla, 89, died late Friday night Dec. 19, 2003 at the Norwood Hospital.
He was the husband of Leonora (Sandland) Kundla; they had been married for 55 years.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Katherine (Faber) Kundla.
Mr. Kundla was retired from General Motors in Framingham; he had transferred there from the Linden, NJ plant.
He was a resident of Holliston for 55 years, past member of the Holliston Lions Club and a communicant of St. Mary’s Church of Holliston.
Besides his wife he is survived by his son, J. Peter Kundla of Philadelphia, PA; daughters, Patricia K. Maitland of Harwich Port, MA and Deborah K. Pennington and her husband Christopher of Catonsville, MD, a sister; Helen Guenther of Kearney, NJ, grandchildren; Suzanne McGounty, Christopher S. Maitland, Nancy Maitland Woodward and Andrew J. Pennington, 6 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Dec. 23 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Washington St., Holliston. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Holliston.
Calling hours, at the Chesmore Funeral Home,854 Washington St., Holliston, will be Monday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
