Share your Memorial with Family & Friends

JK was a man that always was checking on me at the tracks and was an advocate to help with safety with the Shane Hammond believe foundation. I'm sorry for your loss. JK always made me smile and will be dearly missed! Believe ....

Auntie, Some of the sweetest memories we have in life are of the Christmas Eve parties you and Uncle John hosted for us for so many years. They were merry, warm, and wonderful, and a true reflection of the kind and generous spirits of you and Uncle John. Know he will always be remembered by us with love and gratitude, and he will always, always, be missed.

Kellie John and Shannon, Thank you for sharing your Dad with us. When he married your Mom, he inherited all of us- by choice! So many of our fondest family memories are a result of your Dad and Mom’s generosity. We are all deeply saddened by his passing, and so very grateful for the time he spent with us. Much Love

Anna...My sympathies go out to you, John, and the girls at this difficult time. Joel called me last night with the news. Over the years I have thought of you often as I have reflected on the past and the busy times with Joel and John at The Carroll School. Joel shared so many good times with your family and was so fond of JK and all his "toys" !! JK was so good & generous of his time helping Joel to learn to ride some of those machines..It is one of the fond memories I have of that time in our lives. I am sure you have so many fond memories, and hope they will hold you in good stead at this sad time. Fondly, Joan Griffith

Today we celebrate the life of a special and wonderful person JK who is my boss but more importantly my friend.I can't begin to express how special he truly was.I have learned so much from him about the engine business, but what made him so unique was his ability to make friends and how he loved being around people.Customers would come into the shop wanting to buy an engine and he would have them pull up a chair to sit and talk about their families and hobbies and how he truly enjoyed that.He will be missed and I will do everything in my power to carry on his legacy with my friend John at Marine Engines..God Bless a wonderful family and comfort them through this difficult time.

Everyone at Panther Air Boat Corp would like to extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family of JK. We will surely miss his sense of humor, wit and great business relationship. JK will no doubt be watching over Marine Engines from a place we can only dream of. Rest In Peace, my friend.

Dear Keane family, Please accept my deepest sympathies for the loss of JK. I was saddened to hear of his passing. While JK and I had an excellent business relationship, he quickly became a good and caring friend and he will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Johns good humor and generosity was such a wonderful part of him. One of the most vivid memories I have was him walking into the dining room where we all sat, and beaming from ear to ear asking us to go see his son John's wonderful "ka-ka. Although we lost contact over the years, the memories of his love for cars, the funny car events, and all stay with me.

I too was part of the hey day of NES. I worked for John from 1971 to 1983. I grew up at 77R linden st. starting out as a second shift counterman and under JKs tutelage became night manager, then purchasing agent and finally as his general manager. I learned a lot along the way for which I will always be great full. JK and I drew up many successful marketing plans on cocktail napkins at Johnny Ds and fathers first over a gin and tonic. I will always remember him fondly. RIP JK (2% 2nd phone call)

As a business associate, and next door neighbor to N.E. Speed (my business was Boston Cycles) many happy times were had. My memories of John ( and Anna)are deep and warm.

My condolences, we have been working together for a bunch of years and it was always great talking to JK on the phone. I will miss him answering the phone "engine sales" when I call.

I worked for JK back in the late 60's early 70's at New England Speed. Those days were more fun than work. Thanks to the teachings of those early days I went on to become a manufacturers representative in the performance industry. As a rep I still had the good fortune to work with JK for many more years to come. Although I did not see John that much in the last few years I regarded him as my friend. I will remember him fondly.
