Jhoseph Alfonso Ramirez-Brodeur, 20, of Holliston, passed away unexpectedly at La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Friday, May 2, 2014. Born in Colombia, he was the son of Suzanne Brodeur and Alfonso Ramirez of Holliston.

Jhoseph attended La Salle University where he was studying Digital Arts and Multimedia Design. Prior to college, he was a 2011 Holliston High School graduate, where he was an avid varsity and Division 1 club soccer player.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister, Gabriella S. Ramirez-Brodeur of Holliston; his paternal grandparents, Daissy and Alfonso Ramirez Sr. of Colombia; his aunts and uncles, Stephen Brodeur and his wife Renee of Holden and their children, Christopher and Audrey; Juan Carlos Ramirez and Luis Prada of Colombia; Michael Arsenault and his wife Elaine of Sutton; Joe and Nancy Cote of Holden and their child Alley; Mike and Traci Premo of Virginia and their children Jenna, Brooke and Katie. He is predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Marie Jeanette Cote.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8th from 4-7:30p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Holliston. Burial will follow at Lake Grove Cemetery, Highland St. Holliston. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Jhoseph’s memory be made to Rancho Cielo – Drummond Culinary Academy, a culinary program for at risk youth.(Rancho Cielo, PO BOX 6948, Salinas, CA 93912. http://ranchocieloyc.org/)
