Jerome F. Smith, 64, died Sunday July 24, 2005 at the Newton Wellesley Hospital. He was the husband of Kathleen (Hogan) Smith. They had been married for 38 years. Born in Arlington, MA, he was the son of the late John and Anne (Gouthro) Smith.
Mr. Smith had been a resident of Holliston since 1970, a member of the
Maspenock Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed sport and target shooting. He was devoted to his family, especially his granddaughter, enjoying the time they shared at his home.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving from 1959 – 1963. He had been
stationed on the USS Ticonderoga. Mr. Smith had been a heavy equipment
mechanic for Caterpillar Equipment in Milford for 42 years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters; Michelle Blanchard and
her husband, Michael, of Northborough and Denise Smith of Milford, brothers;
John T. Smith of Arlington and Eugene Smith of Ashburnham, sisters; Phyllis
Smith and Judith Smith both of Mashpee and a granddaughter; Kaylee
Blanchard. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 29 at 10:00a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Washington St., Holliston. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Holliston.
