James “Jim” Joseph Carbino, 74, of Holliston, passed away peacefully at the Timothy Daniels House in Holliston on Thursday, August 18, 2022. Born in Framingham on December 18, 1947, he was the son of the late Marion and Arthur Carbino.  

 He was a lifelong resident of Holliston, and truly enjoyed being a “townie”. He is survived by his three children, Jessie Carbino of Maynard, Ryan Carbino and his wife, Malaysha of Nashua, NH, and Tina Thomas and her husband, Dustin of Hudson. He also leaves behind the mother of his children and devoted caretaker, Shannon (Smith) Carbino of Holliston; as well as four granddaughters, Arianna Carbino, Emilia and Liliana Thomas, and Madison Carbino, in addition to his nieces, cousins and many friends. He is predeceased by his sister Patricia “Tee” Keller and his beloved dog, Daisy.  

Jim is a Vietnam Veteran who served on the Holliston Auxiliary Police Department for 12 years. He worked in the restaurant business for over 40 years where he made many friends. A dedicated family man, who loved his Tuesday morning coffee with the boys. Jim enjoyed taking care of his family property that he has resided at in Holliston for over a century. He loved having a good party with family and friends and sharing stories of his old days owning the Village Pub in Holliston. He liked listening to music on his front porch, watching old movies and always had room for dessert.  

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 26th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.comfuneral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Mary’s Church of Holliston. Interment will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
