Milford-Holliston,
James C. Donovan, 94, of Milford and formerly a long time resident of Holliston, a beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully to his Lord and Savior on February 1,2005.
Born in Boston he was a 1932 graduate of Boston College, he was an executive with General Electric for 25 years and a business owner in Franklin for 20 years.
James touched the lives of his family and friends with his keen intellect, love of music, and sense of humor.
He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Helen A. Hope who passed away in 1991. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Mildred DeValle, his brother John and wife Ann of Mashpee, two sons, James C. Donovan and his wife Ann Marie of Franklin, Michael S. Donovan and his wife Terri of Franklin, 9 daughters, Madeline F. Glynn and her husband James of Burlington, Jean M. Donovan of Revere, Ellen M. Fraize and her husband John of Sudbury, Adele D. Coyne of Sudbury, Mary V. Donovan of Chelsea, Patricia D. Oyer and her husband Joseph of West Boylston, Constance T. Craycroft and her husband John of Westborough, Marian Birely and husband Mark of Franklin and Anne McDonald and her husband John of Norfolk, 25 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation hours will be on Friday, February 4, 2005 from 9-10:30am at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St. (Rt. 16) Holliston. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00a.m. in St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
