Holliston-

Grace H. Sawyer, 89, of Holliston, passed away Monday, September 5, 2011 at the Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham. Born in Huntington, MA. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Susan (Herring) Tyron. She was the wife of Edgar P. Sawyer who passed in 1994.

A member of the Holliston Baptist Church, Grace enjoyed knitting and volunteering at the Holliston Food Pantry and the Timothy Daniel House. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Grace is survived by her children, Dorothy Sawyer of Holliston, Carolyn Carr and her husband David of Newbern NC, Robert Sawyer and his wife Joanne of Clearwater, FL, Andrew Sawyer and his wife Evelyn of Medfield, Allen Sawyer and his wife Martha of Bellingham, and Hope Sawyer of Holliston. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and many great, great grandchildren. She is predeceased by two children, Donald and Susanne Sawyer and her brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 7-9p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral service will take place on Friday at 10:00a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Holliston.
