Gary Neil Higgins, 73, of Osterville, MA, and formerly of Holliston, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024. Born in Sparta, Wisconsin, he was the son of the late Marjorie (Fish) and Robert C. Higgins. He was the husband of 50 years to Jane (Falzone) Higgins.

Gary was raised in Holliston and was a 1969 graduate of Holliston High School. Fondly referred to as a workaholic, Gary enjoyed his work at Bradford Ace Hardware in Hyannis. When he was younger, he worked for Web Supply. He took pleasure in golfing and in his younger years, enjoyed softball. He had a great but dry sense of humor, was an avid sports fan, and loved watching all sports. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, who affectionately called him, Bumpa.

In addition to his wife, Gary is survived by his children, Jeremy Higgins and his wife Megan, Julie Higgins and her longtime boyfriend, William Perry, Laura Rockwell and her husband, Travis, all of Barnstable. He also leaves behind his siblings, Susan MacDonald and her husband, Steven, and Jim Higgins and his wife, Patty; grandchildren, Haley, Caleb, and Riley Higgins, Logan, Caylin, and Travis Rockwell; as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 12th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 13th at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery in Holliston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to COPD Foundation, https://www.copdfoundation.org/
