Edward R. Connors, 66, of Holliston, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023. Born in Norwood, he was the loving son of parents Charlotte (McNair) and John Hunt of Holliston.

Besides his parents, Eddie is survived by his 6 siblings, Kathleen M. Connors Nichols of Charleston, SC, Kevin T. Connors, Cheryl A. Connors, Shawn M. Connors all of Holliston, Christopher P. Connors of Medway, Ellen P. Connors of Ashland. He also leaves behind 5 nieces, 3 nephews, 5 great, and 2 twice grand nieces and nephews.

Before moving to Holliston at age 13, Eddie was raised in Sharon, MA.  He was a 1975 graduate of the Joseph P. Keefe Technical School in Framingham and earned an associate degree from Massachusetts Bay Community College. Eddie was employed with Verizon for 30 years and active as a union member of the Communications Workers of America, before retiring in 2012.

His passions included a love for Thai food, blues music, college basketball, and he was most definitely a die-hard fan of New England sports teams, rarely missing a telecasted game. Eddie’s memory, particularly with sports statistics, was incredible. He could effortlessly rattle off obscure details with players and scores, even going back to the 1970’s. He liked to tease others, having won several of the NCAA and Super Bowl pools. Eddie loved his large extended family and enjoyed traveling. His last trip in 2018 included 23 family members on a Caribbean cruise. He was a kind person who would easily make conversation with anyone he met. In his later years, Eddie would reminisce how much he valued helping others by volunteering to transport passengers with varying disabilities in his handicapped accessible van.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 15th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Hopkinton location of Chesmore Funeral Home, 57 Hayden Rowe St. A funeral home service will take place on Saturday, December 16th at 10:30 a.m.In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests donations to the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association (CMTA). Eddie was born with CMT type 2, which he liked to positively spin ‘As not a disability, but rather we see ourselves as being handi-capable’. https://www.cmtausa.org/ways-to-give/inhonorinmemory/
