Dorothy A. Samuelson, 93, of  Milford, MA passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022 at Milford Regional Hospital. Born in Ridgefield, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Angelina (Giacomoni) and Nazzareno Cassavechia. Dorothy lived in Ridgefield and Danbury, Connecticut for most of her life prior to moving to Medway, MA in 2009. She was the beloved wife of 70 years to the late Einar R. Samuelson.

Dorothy worked in the Ridgefield, Connecticut School system for over 35 years. Her family was her total pride and joy, you could not talk to her without being shown pictures, and hearing of their accomplishments and adventures. She was always making sure everyone in her home was comfortable, fed, and included in the conversations. Dorothy had a great passion for cooking, visiting their vacation home in Vermont, playing cards, and visits to the Casino.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her from Ridgefield and Danbury, CT. Medway, MA and the Blaire House A/L in Milford, MA.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Barry Samuelson and wife, Jeanne of Shrewsbury; her grandchildren, Kerry Franklin and husband, John of Milbury, MA, Brian Samuelson and wife Alexandra of Burlington, CT, and Eric Samuelson of Brighton, MA, as well as two great-grandchildren, Kiley and Casey Franklin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Services will be private. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or St Jude’s Hospital.
