Sherborn-
A 52 year resident of Sherborn, Don Wetherill died on May 18th, at Care Dimensions Hospice in Lincoln after a brief illness. He was 87. Originally from Rocky River, Ohio, he graduated from the University of Dayton. He then joined the Army attending the Army Information School at Fort Slocum, NY, graduating as a public relations specialist. After the Service, he went on to a career in packaging sales with Dow Chemical and Crown Zellerbach. He later started his own small business, C & D plastic cards, based in Holliston, specializing in printing membership cards for organizations like the PGA Golf tour, Stop and Shop, and even the Sherborn Yacht Club. He had been retired for a number of years after selling the business.
Don loved living in Sherborn and enjoyed the qualities of small town life. He was a volunteer fireman, and active in the Sherborn Lions Club serving as their treasurer. He was a supporter of the 1858 Town House and a member of the Yacht Club. He loved the beauty and solitude the town offered. He is survived by his wife, Sue and close friends.
