Holliston-
Daniel E. Pereira, 64, of Holliston, died Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at the Timothy Daniels House in Holliston. Born in Framingham, he was the son of Alvaro and Celestina (Antonioli) Pereira of Holliston. He was the husband of Patricia (Curnyn) Pereira of Holliston.

He graduated in 1963 from Framingham High School, went on to the Wentworth Institute of Technology and eventually retired after a long career as an electronics buyer. A 35 – year Holliston resident, Daniel was proud to be a coach and volunteer in the Holliston Youth Soccer Association for more than 20 years . His time on the sidelines coaching his children and their friends were among his fondest memories.

Besides his parents and his wife of 38 years, he leaves behind two sons, Daniel Pereira Jr. of Lincoln, MA and Geoffrey Pereira of Washington, D.C. ; a daughter, Hilary Pereira and her husband James Hill III of New York City; two brothers, Ronald Pereira and his wife Susan of Ashland and Kenneth Pereira and his wife Catherine of Wareham ; a sister, Diane Pereira of Holliston; and a brother-in-law, Michael Curnyn and his wife, Carole, of Holliston. He also leaves behind four nieces and a nephew, as well as his beloved dog Cooper.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 2, 2010 from 2-5p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. (Rt. 16) www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral mass will take place on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston.
