Franklin – Caitlin E. Landess, 13, died Sept. 3, 2002 at the Boston Medical
Center, following an ATV accident.
Born in Manchester, NH, she was the daughter of Martin E. Landess of
Illinois and Kristin (Lunny) Landess of Franklin, MA.
A student at the Helen Keller, Annie Sullivan Horace Mann School in
Franklin, she participated in after school activities, piano, arts, drama
and singing. She was an honor student during the past school year, helped
her peers and volunteered with needy and homeless people. She was loved for
her sparkling personality, beautiful smile and great sense of fun. She was
the family babysitter with a great love for small children.
Beside her parents she is survived by her maternal grandparents; Irene
(Olson) Lunny of Framingham, Donald F. Lunny and his wife Doris ( Jafferian)
of Carlisle, MA, paternal grandmother; Violet Landess of Granite City, Ill.,
aunts and uncles; Donny and Kathy Lunny of Holliston, David and Wendy Lunny
of Upton, Tricia and Stacy Maughan of Folson, CA, John and Valerie
Bergschnieder of Jacksonville, FL, John and Jella Stickley of Franklin, many
cousins including; Jonathan, Caroline, Courtney, Brittaney, Brendan, Shane
and Kevin, and many great aunts and uncles.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 10:00
a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Washington St., Holliston. Burial will follow in
Edgell Grove Cemetery in Framingham.
Calling hours at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St., Route 16,
Holliston will be Friday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
The family request that flowers be omitted and donation be made to the
