Rog, yup it is me Deb...no freakin way, this is just not how we pictured it would stop - You are the Godfather to my girls...a role not easily decided to accept I know, but you did. You adored Jessica and Carlie, they love you. You were there for us when I could not see the sun through the clouds, you were there to show up that face, that smile, that laugh, oh that laugh was so welcomed. All we went through in Holliston the good and the not-so-good, the parties, the Dairy, the pool the music, the dancing, Leon, Suz - I would look up in a crowd and you always had an eye on me letting me know I was okay...an extension of my family, our family. I loved you then, I love you now...I will always have you in my heart. All the ladies crooned over you, all you did was walk in, laugh and boom it was magic. I am devastated that you are not on this side but always here forever in my heart of hearts. Forever Deb

Sue, I was saddened to hear of your brother’s passing. Reading through the other condolences has brought back many memories of our teen years in the neighborhood. Your family are in my prayers at this sad and difficult time.

July 7, 2020 Hey, Roger-Dodger! It’s me, Freddie (or as you often called me, “You hot sh*t”). Yeah, I’m very, very sad to be sure. As you would have said, “Well, this sucks!” Very glad we talked not long ago. And, God, I wish you were still on this side so I could call you tonight. But you’re not. I am picturing you sitting behind the wheel of your yellow ‘vette, top down -- Elon Musk’s orbiting Tesla and Starman far behind you in the rearview mirror -- “Nights in White Satin” booming from the speakers, floating off into the firmament. I just wanted to let you know you were the best, best friend a guy could ever hope for… late 60s/early 70s (and far beyond!) you defined c-o-o-l, and with no effort. You just were cool. Period. Hard stop. From red Corvairs to yellow Corvettes, the boats, that hair, from the Bat Caves to the BAHAC Club, to the road trips and the Dairy, the Moody Blues… you were so right-there, wacky, compassionate, full of piss and vinegar, had the best laugh on the planet … and so much more. Yeah, I know. It’s been a wicked long time. But like-it-happened-yesterday are the stories, the capers, the laughs (and way more laughs), the pranks, the Milford bachelor pad with no bathroom sink, the “gotcha’s” (thinking when I poured $20 worth of pennies on your bare chest as you slept (you had it coming; I won’t write what you said). Then there’s the whole Child Life “experience” delivering those swing sets, the softball games, the last-minute trips to New Hampshire, Cape Cod, raids on neighboring towns … and so much more. In the 45 years (give or take) since I left Holliston, I have met a lot of very cool dudes in a lot of cool places… but, seriously, no one has ever come close to the cool you were. And the funny, loyal and amazing quality of friend you so effortlessly and eloquently simply were, no one’s matched that either, Rog. Right here next to this very big sadness is even more gratitude for the gift of your remarkable friendship. And anyone reading this fortunate enough to have been on the right end of your care, your consideration, that crisp sparkle in your eyes, knows just what I mean. So, much peace as you keep on driving that yellow ‘vette around the sun and back. I’ll be watching for you, dear friend, ready to whisper into the night sky, “You hotsh*t.” Freddie

Suz, so sorry for your loss. I got to know Roger while working with him at Childlife in the nineties. He was one of a kind. Wishing you peace and comfort. God bless. - Nancy & Larry

We are so devistated losing Roger. We are so happy we had so many fun years to spent with him. Spent many hours spent floating down river with him. Countless adventures. He was the best surrogate grandpa the girls could have asked for. He will be very missed!!! Our condolences to the family Eric, Lacy and the girls Aislynn and Alice
