Dear Hank and Kate, I know there is no need to tell you how great Natalie was; you lucky guys got to live with her. But I have the need to let you know what she meant to me. As my Stephen Minister, Natalie walked with me through a very painful time in my life. She always met me with a smile, a listening ear, a Psalm and a beautiful prayer that was full of the most amazing faith. There were only two other woman I had ever heard of that exemplified the kind of faith and trust in Jesus Christ that Natalie did. One was Mother Theresa and the other was Corrie Ten Boom. Both of those women also suffered much. Maybe it is in the suffering that they gained their faith. But long before I knew Natalie I strove to gain that kind of faith and trust always feeling like I fell short. Once I met Natalie and had a real flesh and blood example in my presence I realized that kind of faith was possible for me. She taught me so much about turning ALL circumstances over to the Father's loving hands no matter the outcome. In fact, as far as she was concerned the outcome was really none of "our" business. Being Natalie's friend changed me from a glass half empty person to someone who sees her cup overflowing. She pointed me to my Savior and showed me by her life that Jesus really is sufficient.
