I met Mari Jo when I was at Camp Trefoil many years ago. She was older than I was and I still remember her as the coolest girl I ever met. She was so kind to me and gave me so much self confidence at an awkward age. Did she ever tell you about the time she accidently set the latrine on fire? I love hearing that she had a life full of love , family and a fullfilling career. I am so sorry that she had to go through cancer and all that it involves, but glad she had family beside her.

Mari-Jo was a delightful, loving person. I enjoyed playing tennis with her and seeing her with mutual friends. After my husband's stroke, she and her employees at Professional Nursing provided excellent care and loving support to us both. She will be missed. My sympathies go to all the many people who loved her.

May Mary Jo's family and friends be comforted by God's promise to "swallow up death forever...and wipe away the tears from all faces" (Isaiah 25:8). Along with the promise of a time soon when 'no resident will say " I am sick" (Isaiah 33:24) "Remember the Resurrection hope for both righteous and unrighteous" (Acts 24:15) You may find more scriptural thoughts @ jw.org
