Karen E. McCue, 82, of Holliston, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Helen (Peters) Robbins and Myron Evans and her step-father, Morrison (Bud) Robbins. She was the wife of nearly 60 years to Jerome (Jerry) S, McCue.

Karen earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at Grove City in Grove City, Pennsylvania, where she met Jerry. She was the Co-founder and Director of the Handbell Choir for over 30 years at the First Congregational Church in Holliston. She loved music, especially her Handbell Ding A Lings, her crafts, and making personal cards for her family and friends for all occasions. Her greatest joy was her daughter, granddaughters and attending all of their various school and sporting events.

In addition to her husband, Karen is survived by her daughter, Jenn M. Rivas, of Holliston, three granddaughters, Karolina, Gabriella and Ashley Rivas; her brother-in-law, Bill Springer of Pittsburgh, PA, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister, Ruthanne Springer.

A memorial service will be held in October, when Karen and Jerry would have celebrated sixty years of marriage. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Handbell Harmonies c/o First Congregational Church of Holliston, 725 Washington Street, Holliston, MA 01746 or the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.
