Eva Ragnhild Bergesen

May 2, 1943 - January 14, 2012

Share your Memorial with Family & Friends

Eva has been a dear friend and valuable volunteer for the Boston Marathon for years. I miss Eva so much; a sweet and generous woman who has touched so many of us. Eva will long be remembered for her friendship and the many simple acts kindess she did for others. Runners from around the world loved Eva and and many will "Run for Eva" this year. She lived her life doing for others and now she can rest and join her beloved husband David in heaven. Today we will honor Eva and remember her life as a steward of goodness and love for others. Keep smiling Eva!

I got to know Eva in her role as a volunteer for the marathon. She was a gem of a human being. She seemed to spend every waking moment looking for opportunities to give a hand to the next person who needed it. No matter what she was doing, however early or late it was, you never had any sense that she felt it a burden. She clearly lived life with true grace and generosity of spirit. I'll miss her smile and her wry sense of humour.

I will miss Eva so much . I was luck enough to get to know her through the marathon. She was a sweet lady. Rest in peace Eva, you are now back with your husband Dave.

Eva was a long-serving and cherished member of the Hopkinton Garden Club, and I will miss her very much; a very classy, elegant lady with a terrific Norwegian spirit. I trust there are Norwegian Elkhounds in Heaven.
