Claire M. Polny, 85, of Holliston, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025 at Vantage Healthcare in Milford. Born in Waltham, she was the daughter of the late Ida (Bourque) and Francois Methot. She was the beloved wife of 65 years to Roman Polny.

Claire was warm and welcoming to all. She had an adventurous side to her as well. In her youth she was an avid skier and even journeyed to California, living on the west coast for a short time. As a young mom and wife, she continued her adventures. With her husband Roman and with kids in tow, weekends were often spent camping. Claire and Roman continued their adventures in retirement, enjoying time together on spontaneous road trips. Claire worked for over 30 years as a healthcare aide at Medway Country Manor.

In addition to her husband, Claire is survived by  her children, Blair of New Haven, Connecticut, Debra Reiffarth and her husband, Norman, of North Attleborough, Mark Polny and his wife, Nancy, of Whitinsville, and Chris Polny and his wife, Tiffany, of Holliston. She also leaves her sister, Rita Methot of Waltham, 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings, Cecile Scheufele and Irene Methot.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. A funeral home service will take place on Monday, June 30th at 10:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael Lisnow Respite Center, https://www.hopkintonrespite.org/ or 112 Main St. Hopkinton, MA 01748.
