Barbara R. Holmes, 84, of Jacksonville, Florida and a former longtime resident of Holliston, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022. Born in Chatham, New York, she was the daughter of the late Ruth (Silvernale) and George Shirley. She was the wife of the late William Holmes, who passed in 1988.

Barbara is survived by three children, William Holmes and his wife, Sherry of Portland, CT, Peter Holmes and his wife, Christine of Leicester, MA and Karen Bandzul and her husband of Jacksonville, FL. She also leaves behind her brother, Tom Shirley of Rocky Mount, VA; as well as 5 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in Holliston at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.
