Holliston-

Lois M. Mann, 82, of Holliston, passed away October 12, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham.  Born in Machias, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe Mallar and Joyce Butterworth.  She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Mann.

Lois was a Natick High School Graduate.  She was called the “Songbird of the Class.”   She went on to attend Boston University and later completed her studies at Framingham State College so she could become a teacher. Lois was an early adopter of computers and enjoyed many years at Wellesley College training people on how to use them.  She also started a craft shop at her summer home in Maine with a neighbor and ran the family business in Holliston for many years after the passing of her husband, Bob.  She was a resident of Holliston for sixty years.  Lois was an avid bridge player, bowler and had a passion for crafts, quilting, and cooking.  She was a member of the Stephen King Club and loved to read.  She also enjoyed gardening and loved her pets.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Mann and his wife Lee Ann of Keene, NH, Richard Mann and his wife Linda of Holliston, Barry Mann and his wife Vanessa of Holliston; her brother, Kenneth Mallar of Corte Madera, CA.  She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Kelly, Mason, Heather, Thurston, Lucy, and Clark.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Wednesday, October 19th, 9-11 a.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com.  A graveside funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. in Evergreen Cemetery in Hopkinton.
