Clifton E. Wheeler, 79, of Holliston died on Friday June 11, 2004. Born in Holliston he was the son of the late Leroy and Alice (Mantell) Wheeler.

A lifelong resident of Holliston, Clifton was an Army veteran of WW II he served with the 1068th Engineers in the European Theater. He was a Past commander of the Holliston V.F.W. and District 4 V.F.W., he was also a member of the American Legion and the Teamsters local 170

He leaves his wife of 56 years Dorothy Wheeler of Holliston, 2 sons; Clifton Scott Wheeler and his wife Diane of Mashpee, MA, and Russell Warren Wheeler and his wife Kathy also of Mashpee, MA. 2 daughters; Donna L. Brown of Whitinsville, MA, and Susan E, Wheeler of Mendon, MA. 8 grandchildren; Jocelyn, Allison, Laura, Rebecca, Victoria, David, Scott, and Stephen. 2 brothers; Arthur Wheeler of Medway and Lenwood Wheeler of Ashland, He is predeceased by a sister; Eunice Rooney of Holliston and a brother Warren Wheeler.

Visitation hours will be held Sunday June 13, 2004 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St (Rt. 16) Holliston.(www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com) A Funeral Home service will be held on Monday June 14, 2004 at 10:00 am in the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston with Rev. Andrea Wyatt. Burial will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery of Holliston. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701
