Weird, being in Atlanta I just was thinking of the Andritz people I had been working along for over two years in Denmark. Brian was always present both on the job as personally. So sad to read he past away way way too early. To all you family and friends my condolences.

Sue, our deepest condolences to you and the family, we are so sorry for your loss. Love Jay and Lison I wrote an email to Brian last week. I share it here for you, family and friends. Dear Brian, My heart is heavy with the news of the path that your illness has taken. I wanted to send you a note to say that I am apologetic for the short call today and my lack of ability to find the right words or subjects to discuss. I wanted to tell you that you have been a great friend and colleague, that I have the utmost respect for you as a professional and person, and that I am honored that you are a friend. Some of my fondest memories of my career include you, the discussions we had during our business travels (Gold River, Helsinki, Santiago, Jakarta, Stockholm, Emmetsburg, Stenderup, Manchester VT, Lake Placid ……..and many place in between), the people we met, the projects we worked on and the challenges we overcame together. Brian, you have traveled far and wide, accomplished much and touched more people in a positive way than most ever will. I want to wish you strength and courage in the difficult days ahead. I hope that you take solace in the fact that you are surrounded by the tremendous love of Sue, the girls, your extended family and your dear friends. I send my love and prayers to you all. Thank you for the positive influence you have had on me. Your friend always, Jay

Sue and family: just learned of Brian's passing this afternoon. So very sorry for your loss. I worked with Brian for many years (Kamyr, Ahlstrom, and Andritz) and was always amazed at not only his technical brilliance, but also his integrity and Christian compassion. He certainly traveled the world and made friends around the globe. He will be missed, but always remembered. May God's peace and love be with you all during this difficult time.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. One of the most difficult things we have to deal with is the death of a loved one. The Bible teaches; "God is close to the brokenhearted." It also says: "throw your burden on God and he will sustain you." (Psalm 34;18 and 55;22) The Bible gives us hope that one day our dead loved ones will be brought back to life. I hope this message offers comfort in your time of sadness.
