Franklin and formerly Newton-

Barbara Ann James, 76, of Franklin and formerly Newton, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the Milford Regional Medical Center. Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Edna (Moran) and Matthew Paul Pucciarelli. She was the wife of the late William T. James.

Barbara enjoyed time spent at the Franklin Senior Center and volunteering at Milford Regional Medical Center. She was a parishioner and volunteer at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston.

Barbara is survived by her three children, Stephen Paul James and his wife Karina of Hopedale, Michelle J. Haynes and her husband Dave Funnell of Wrentham, and Kim Perkins and her husband Mike of Holliston. She also leaves behind her sisters, Linda Hayes and her husband Vinnie of Newton, Donna Pucciarelli of Jamaica Plain, and  eight grandchildren, Amy and Billy; Lauren, Matt, Michael, and Jason; Chris and Dan; and her beloved dog Chloe.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 30th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 31st at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Timothy O’Connell Foundation­­—a charity dedicated to research and support of families with children affected with acute myeloid leukemia and other cancers—35 Erin’s Way, Holliston, MA. 01746 or timsteam.org
