Franklin-
George Anthony Most III (Tony), 74, of Franklin, passed away suddenly on Friday, March 24, 2017 while traveling on business in Alabama. Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 1, 1942, he was the son of the late Ruth (Stephenson) Most and George Anthony Most, Jr. He was married to Beverly A. Falzone-Most of Franklin for the past 26 years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children: James A. Most, M.D. and his wife Anne (Longmeadow, MA), Deborah L. Most (Newberry, FL), Robert A. Most (Attleboro, MA), and Rebecca C. Most (Bellingham, MA). He also leaves behind his siblings: Christine Strazza and her husband Alfred (Queensbury, NY) and David Most and his wife Cindy (Smithsburg, MD). He is predeceased by his sister, Suzanne Butchman. He will be missed by his 5 grandchildren: Kathryn, Sarah, Justin, Katie and William. His former wife Carol Decamp and her husband Joseph reside in Medway, MA.
Tony had worked as a Construction Manager for Algonquin Gas Transmission Company and Spectra Energy for 40 years, starting in the summers when home from Virginia Polytechnical Institute. He traveled frequently for business overseeing large natural gas pipeline installation projects. For the past 12 years he had been employed by NV5 (formerly AK Environmental) in Lake Mary, FL. He was passionate about his work and enjoyed his co-workers immensely.
In the 1970s, he was very active in coaching youth sports in Franklin; including Franklin Charger football and Franklin Flyer youth hockey. He was an avid reader, enjoyed NASCAR and loved all dogs, but especially his numerous shih tzus.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 31st from 4-7 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington Street, Holliston, MA (www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com). A funeral home service will take place on Saturday, April 1st at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery, Holliston, MA.
