Stephen Joseph Rogers, 70, of Holliston, passed away at his home on Friday, August 22, 2025. Born in Wellesley, he was the son of the late Patricia (Gallo) Stafford and Robert Rogers.
Steve loved cars and fishing—especially saltwater fishing, which was one of his favorite pastimes. Over the years, he worked in auto body shops as a skilled mechanic. He later worked as a general contractor in construction at his business, Metrowest SRGC Inc. He also spent many years plowing snow. He was known for being meticulous about his things, especially his trucks and equipment. He had a great sense of humor, was quick with a laugh, and was a funny guy to be around.
Stephen is survived by two daughters, Danielle Hardy of Woonsocket, RI, and Janeen Cox and her husband, Robert, of Holliston. He also leaves behind his brother, Bob Rogers and his wife, Kathy, of Milford; his wife, Carol Rogers, his step-children, Matthew Losanno and his wife, Chantel, of Georgia, and Christine Losanno of Medway; 14 grandchildren; his beloved former wife, Anne Lavallee; his brother-in-law, William DiDonato, as well as many nieces, nephews, and his beloved dog, Henry. He is predeceased by his sisters, Cynthia DiDonato and Mary Russo, and his step-son, Victor Losanno.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27th, from 4-7 at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 27th, at 9:00 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery. Please note that the elevator at the church is currently out of order and the church is not handicap accessible.
