William Hatch, 59, of Sutton, passed away unexpectedly on January 21, 2025 at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. Born in Arlington, Massachusetts, he was the son of Eleanor (LeBlanc) Hatch of Arlington and the late Harold Hatch. He was the husband of nearly 25 years to Linda (Clemons) Hatch of Sutton.Bill was a licensed falconer for over 30 years, and found peace in the art of falconry. He was an enthusiastic lover of trop rock music, often seen strumming his ukulele and writing songs. His creativity shone through not only in his music but in his natural gift with words, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of hearing him play or write. He enjoyed time spent volunteering for the Special Olympics through the Parrotthead Club of Eastern MA, PHCOEM.Bill was a true Parrotthead, “livin’ my life like a song” with the carefree spirit of a Jimmy Buffett fan, always ready for a good time, a cold drink, and a laugh. His sense of humor was infectious, and he had a unique ability to bring joy to any room he entered. Bill was an avid reader, with a special fondness for J.R.R. Tolkien’s works. He was also a fan of the Christmas Revels, the Bugs Bunny Film Festival, and the band, RUSH. He personalized Christmas cards each year which will be remembered and cherished by family and friends. Above all, Bill’s greatest passion was his deep love and devotion for his lovely bride, Linda.Besides his mother and wife, he is survived by two children, Ian and Victoria Hatch; his siblings, Judy Poulin and husband, Moe, of CT, Sandy Hatch of MA, Mike Hatch and wife, Susan of Cape Cod, Mat Hatch and wife, Lori, of Cape Cod, Kris Hatch of Arlington, and Mary Hearth and wife, Willow of Arlington.Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2nd from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. Interment will be held at a later date.
