Barbara M. Haydel

Barbara M. Haydel, 92, of Holliston, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Gertrude (Slattery) and Edmund A. Paul. She was the wife of 43 years to the late Charles “Chuck” Haydel.

She worked in the banking industry for most of her career before retiring in 1992 to get ready to take on her next role – grandmother.  Mimi loved spending time with her grandsons.  Whether it was taking them for long walks, going to the park to play, or watching them play sports, she was most happy being with them and her family.  She also loved the game of Bingo and would look forward to the many trips to Foxwoods she took with Donna.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Donna Perry and her husband, James, of Holliston, and their two sons Tyler and Kyle, and Deann Haydel of Manchester, N.H.  She also leaves behind many wonderful friends at Mission Springs in Holliston.

Barbara will be laid to rest with her husband in a private family burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.
