Joan Conlen Brinkley, 84, of Marlborough, formerly from Holliston, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the Rose Monahan Hospice House in Worcester. Born in Troy, NY, she was the daughter of the late Eleanor (Mullany) and Robert Conlen. She was the wife of the late John William Brinkley.

Joan was a retired Nurse, member of the Nurse’s association, and was an avid bridge player.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan E. Bolandrina and her husband Bob of Ashland, Jane A. Chisholm and her husband Kenneth of Gardner; her sister, Evelyn Haynes and her husband Frank of Pennsylvania; 5 grandchildren, Angela, Joel, Kelley, Melissa, Casey, as well as 4 great-grandchildren, 3 nephews and her cousins. She is predeceased by her son, Michael J. Brinkley who passed away in 1977 and her brother, Dr. Robert Conlen.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 30th at 9:00a.m. at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com
