Mary Ann Loretta (Springham) Purington, 94, of Holliston, passed away Monday, March 23, 2015 at Timothy Daniels House. She was the wife of the late Ralph A. Purington for 61 years. Mary was born and raised in Newton, the daughter of the late Mary (McDonald) and John H. Springham. She worked for many years in the Holliston Schools in the cafeteria; at Sportswear Store in Framingham and managed the bookkeeping for her husband’s contracting business. Mary was a member of the Holliston Women’s Club, The “Dear Old Girls” and was one of the original founders of the Holliston Senior Center. She enjoyed reading, gardening, sports, politics and boating with her husband and family. She is survived by her daughters, Janice Purington, Diane Parrella and her husband Robert of Medway; 4 grandchildren Scott Parrella and his wife Jennifer of Franklin, Michelle Parrella of Milford, Dylan and Danielle Purington and 2 great-grandchildren Michael and Matthew Parrella of Franklin. She is pre-deceased by her son David A. Purington and her grandson David A. Purington, Jr. “D.J.”. Private burial services were held at Lake Grove Cemetery.
