Joseph L Pineau, 84, of Hopkinton, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014
at the Umass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. Born in Natick, he
was the son of the late Lucie (Blanchard) and Louis Pineau. He was the
beloved husband of Angelina (Nuzzi) Pineau of Hopkinton since their
marriage on July 4, 1954.
An Air Force Korean War Veteran, Joseph was a longtime Natick resident
until moving to Hopkinton 20 years ago. He had worked at D.G. O’Brien in
Seabrook, NH from 1964 until his retirement.
Besides his wife Angie, Joseph is survived by four children, Joseph F.
Pineau of Berlin, MA, Sandra M. Murphy and her husband Michael of
Medway, Barbara A. Rutfield and her husband Howard and Brenda L. de
Freitas and her husband Antonio all of Grafton. He also leaves a
brother, William Pineau of Natick and 7 grandchildren, Brian, married to
Celina, and Kevin Murphy, Rachel, Alex, and Zackary Rutfield and
Olivia and Max de Freitas. He also leaves several in-laws and many
nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his siblings,
Cornelia Gurney, Gertrude Coffey, Marie Anita Howard, Therese Malloy,
Helen Bergstrom, Mary Porter, and Jean Pineau.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 16th from 2-5p.m. at the
Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton, 57 Hayden Rowe St. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00a.m. on Monday at St. John the Evangelist Church in Hopkinton.
Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Natick.
