Michael J. Bowles, Sr.

Holliston-
Michael J. Bowles Sr., 82, of Holliston, passed away, Friday, March 18, 2011. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late, Michael and Mary (Harrington) Bowles. He was the husband of Margaret (Fraser) Bowles of Holliston.

Michael was a WWII Veteran in the 82nd Airborne and was a member of the American Legion, the VFW and was a past Auxiliary police officer in Holliston. He coached little league for several years, and was also a bus driver for the town of Holliston. He was retired from Jordan Marsh.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons, Michael Bowles Jr. of Holliston, Larry Bowles and his wife Karen of Holliston, their sons; Robert and Marc both of Holliston, his siblings; John Bowles of Burlington and Ann Murphy and her husband Paul of Waltham. He also leaves behind a brother in law, Tom Fraser of Falmouth. He is predeceased by a sister, Marilyn Sheehan.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 3-6p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30a.m. at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston.
