Ruth L. Bird

Holliston-
Ruth L. Bird, 92, of Holliston, went home to the Lord on Sunday, November 7, 2010. Born in Maine, she was the daughter of the late Adelbert A. Knowles and Iva (Pomeroy) Knowles. She was also daughter of the late Frank Ouelette; her stepfather that she had known since birth. She was the wife of the late Charles S. Bird.

Ruth was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Holliston and a member of the church choir. She was also a member of the Mary E. Evans Philathea Class.

She is survived by her son, Charles S. Bird Jr. and his wife Karin of Sacramento, CA., and her daughter, Lorraine E. Smith of Holliston. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren as well as 6 great-grandchildren.

A service will be held at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Holliston. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com
