Holliston-
Shirley M. Stickney, 75, of Holliston, passed away Wednesday, October 13,
2010 at the Metrowest Medical Center in Natick. Born in Worcester, she was
the daughter of the late William and Mary (Lannon) Wilson. She was the
wife of William E. Stickney who passed in 2003.
Shirley worked for over 30 years at New England Telephone. She was a volunteer at the Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham and was part of the Framingham Heart Study. She was also a member of St. Mary’s Church of Holliston and a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
She is survived by her son, David Stickney and his wife Susan of Milford,
her daughter, Lynn Stickney and David Thistle of Bellingham, 2 sisters,
Beverly Fitzgerald of Auburn and Sandra Hart of Worcester. She also leaves
behind 4 grandchildren, William, John, Jennifer and Haley; as well as 2
great-grandchildren, Andrew and Elisa. She is predeceased by her brother,
William Wilson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2010 from 4-7p.m. at the
Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. (Rt. 16).
