Sylvester Soares

Sylvester Soares of Holliston, formerly of Somerville, passed away Sunday, June 13,2010 after a period of declining health. Silve was the beloved husband of Mary Soares for 46 years. He was an employee of Polaroid in Waltham for 29 years.

Besides his wife, he leaves his children; Robert Soares of Marlborough, Gary Soares and his wife Janet of Florida and Jennifer King and her husband Brian of Hudson. He also leaves five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was the son of the late
Silvestre and Mary Soares, who emigrated to from Portugal. Silve was the twin brother of Marjorie Siraco and the late Angelina Correia and Linda Costa. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 from 4-7p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30a.m. at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
