N. Bradford Carey, 82, of Holliston, died Monday, May 25, 2009. Born in Newton, he was the son of the late Norman B. Carey Sr. and Caroline A Holliston resident since 1962, he grew up in Watertown and was a graduate of the class of 1944. He was a decorated combat veteran of the U. S. Marines and served in WWII. He worked for Raytheon for more than 30 years. He was a Ham Radio Operator with the call sign W1FTI, a member of the Anglers Club in Wrentham, loved Quabbin Reservoir, and the Red Sox. Besides his wife, whom he married in 1950, he is survived by 2 daughters, Judy Foley and her husband, Stephen, of Longmeadow, MA and Jan Drapeau of Franklin; a sister, Lois Brockway, of Quechee, VT; grandchildren, Scott, Dan and his wife Sara, Jennifer, Jason, Tim and his wife Tonya, Kait, Meghan and Allyson; and great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Mireille and Lorelai. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29th from 5-8p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. (Rt. 16) www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral home service will take place on Saturday at 11:00a.m. Graveside prayers will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery.
