William A. Gerson

William A. Gerson, 62, of Holliston, died Monday, November 10, 2008. Born in New
York, he was the son of the late Claire and William E. Gerson. He was the husband of 36 years to Eleanor (Doherty) Gerson of Holliston.

A Holliston resident for the past 33 years, he was a Boston College Alumni. After a long career of Admissions at Boston College he more recently taught High School. He was a basketball public address announcer for 27 years at the Conte Forum at B.C.

Besides his wife he leaves 1 son, Brian T. Gerson of Culver City, CA, 2 daughters, Marybeth Heyd and her husband Benjamin of Los Angeles CA , Megan Rhodes and her husband Andrew of Washington DC, 1 brother; Thomas Gerson and his wife Nancy of Madison, CT, 1 grandchild; Lucille Heyd, and many nieces and nephews. Bill is predeceased by a sister Maryanne Klein.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 13, from 4-8p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. (Rt. 16) www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30a.m. at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston.
