Leonard Francis Dow, 70, died unexpectedly on Tuesday,June 20, 2006 at the Metrowest Medical Center in Natick. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Mary Ann (Lukaicewicz) and George Vance Dow Jr. He was the husband to Barbara (Noonan) Dow of Holliston. Mr. Dow was a Holliston resident since 1968 and an Air Force Veteran during the Korean Conflict. He was a 30 year retired employee of Boston Edison and was a Professional Engineer and a Professor at Northeastern University for 25 years. He was also the program coordinator for the Electrical Engineering Technology Department and a member of IEEE. Besides his wife of 50 years, he is survived by 3 sons; Leonard Dow Jr. of Ashland, David Dow of Foxboro, and James Dow of Stafford, Virginia. 4 daughters; Leslie Audy of Medfield, Karen Dow of Medway, Kelly Day of Holliston, and Mary Dow of Framingham. 2 brothers; George Dow of Kittery, ME, and William Dow of Somerville and 1 sister; Ann Dow of Texas. He also leaves 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Visitation hours will be Thursday, June 22, 2006 from 5 to 8 pm at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St.(Rt. 126), Holliston A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 23 at 10:00 am in Saint Mary’s Church of Holliston.
