Holliston – Evelyn M. “Mom” (Garland) Reynolds, 88, formerly of Framingham, died
at home on August 10, 2004 after a lengthy illness.
She was the wife of the late Elliott H. Reynolds.
Born in Center Sandwich, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late
Lewis D. and Ebba U. (Sioberg) Garland.
A graduate of Brookline High School and Portia Law School, Mrs. Reynolds
spent many years as secretary to the Registrar of Wellesley College before
retiring in 1981. She later became Treasurer of United Siding and Roofing
in Natick, MA
Mrs. Reynolds lived a full and diverse life surrounded by her precious
family and many friends. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Church in
Brookline later attending St. Andrew’s in Framingham.
She is survived by her children: Nancy Stone and her husband Edward of
Framingham; Peter Reynolds and his wife Claire of Southborough; Cynthia
Brown-Reardon and her husband John of Holliston; Susan Andrews and her
husband Bruce of Oxford, ME, her sister, Eleanor Kennedy of Marlboro, eight
grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She
was the sister of the late Lewis D. Garland, Jr. of Monson, MA.
A private ceremony will be held at Edgell Grove Cemetery in Framingham.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Home for Little Wanderers,
271 Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02115.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Chesmore Funeral Home,
Holliston.
