HOLLISTON — Alexander J. Rossini, 78, of Holliston, died Saturday, March 27, 2004, at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham. He was the husband of Helen (Turner) Rossini. Born in Holliston and a lifelong resident, he was the son of the late Joseph and Genevieve (Trotta) Rossini. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Wisconsin. Mr. Rossini was an owner of the former Walter’s Dairy in Holliston. A former captain of the Holliston Ambulance Service, he taught first aid for the Red Cross and was a member of the Holliston VFW and American Legion. Besides his wife, he leaves his sons, Mark B. Rossini of Holliston and Alexander “Rus” Rossini of River Edge, N.Y.; his brothers, Walter Rossini of Holliston and John Rossini and his wife, Barbara, of Holliston; two grandchildren, Alison and Matthew Rossini of Holliston; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Beno Rossini. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, March 30, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary’s Church, Washington Street, Holliston. Burial will be in Lake Grove Cemetery in Holliston. Visiting hours are today, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St., Holliston (www.chesmorefuneralhome.com).
