Hopkinton – Paul E. Kenney, Jr. 61, died Oct. 24, 2003 at the Oaknoll Health Care Center
in Framingham following an illness.
He was the husband of Elaine (Manderville) Kenney. They had been married for 37 years.
Born in Framingham and a lifelong resident of Hopkinton, he was the son of the late Paul
and Mary Virginia (Murtaugh) Kenney.
Mr. Kenney was co-owner of Kenney’s Service Station in Hopkinton, a family business
established by his parents. He had also been a volunteer fireman with the Hopkinton Fire
Department for many years. Mr. Kenney enjoyed spending time at his cottage in York
Beach, Maine and spending time with his grandchildren.
Beside his wife he is survived by his son; Daniel Kenney and his wife Kerry of Dedham,
daughter; Kathleen Keavany and her husband Donald of Milford, brother; Robert J.
Kenney and his wife Mary of Hopkinton, sister; Catherine Sweet and her husband John of
Hopkinton, grandchildren; Regan and Aiden Keavany and Callie Kenney, many aunts,
uncles, nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated held on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 10:00 at St. John
the Evangelist Church, Church St., Hopkinton. Burial will follow in Mt. Auburn
Calling hours, at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 57 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton, will be Monday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
